Enterolobium cyclocarpum

This tree will grow to be a giant one day. We are planting one of them at the base of the hill on the northern side of the property so that one day it's crown will reach the top of the hill and guests that visit Siva Ashram will be able to look down on it and see the Howler monkeys playing in the tree.

The Guanacaste tree (Enterolobium cyclocarpum) is best known for its massive hemispheric crown – a cascade of greenery wider than the tree is tall. Declared the national tree on August 31, 1959, the Guanacaste is native to Costa Rica and is a member of the legume family.
