Cocos nucifera, commonly referred to as coconut palm, is the only living species of the genus Cocos. It is native to coastal areas of Melanesia and South-East Asia and can be found in more than 80 countries. It can grow up to 100 ft tall and loved full sunlight! It provides food, fuel, cosmetics, folk medicine and building materials, among many other uses.
